This place is quintessential mellow. When you pass through the doors of this Cuban oasis, none other than Che Guevara’s portrait welcomes you to a night of sheer bliss. "Che," the Argentine interjection for “pal” accurately describes the ambiance of this quaint destination.
With live acoustic music nearly every night, you are sure to feel as if you have escaped to the Caribbean. From a Cuba Libre (rum and coke) to draft beer, this place has what you want, absent of the frills associated with the neo-urban contemporary wave taking Santiago by storm.

Dos Gardenias gets some rather popular local acts and, best of all, there is absolutely no cover charge. A half liter draft beer will set you back Ch$ 1,500 (approx. US$ 2.80) with cocktails costing the standard Ch$ 2,500-3,500 (approx. US$ 4.80-6.70). Dos Gardenias even knows how to serve up a proper tequila shot, which happens to be a double.
You can find a 40 percent Happy Hour discount from 6 until 10pm, Monday through Friday and a variety of promotions on the weekends. Open until late, you can get your fix of music, dancing, and drinking under one small roof.
This scene is one of my favorites in all of Santiago. It is perfect for meeting up with friends to have a cold beer or for kicking off a romantic night with that special Latin American fling. Chilled to perfection, the mix of Cuban, Argentine and Chilean music provides a mellow ambiance to satisfy that craving for a perfect night out.
