In the raspberry and basil pineapple fruit juice, the basil deepens and accentuates the succulent juice. The chunky guacamole, with smooth avocado and bits of tomato, onion and cilantro, was a vegetarian's paradise.

The Yuppie Flower Power salad is everything a good entree salad should be, laden with fresh vegetables of lettuce, tomatoes, mushrooms, soybean sprouts, peas, radish, alfalfa sprouts, broccoli, avocado and a protein boost--quinoa and baked tofu. The crowning glory of this salad, however, was the pureed peanut Asian style dressing, an exquisite blend of nutty spiciness that added an exciting zing to already pristine vegetables.

El Huerto is nestled on Orrego Luco Street in Providencia, between the Pedro de Valdivia and the Los Leones Metro stops.
