La Chimenea: Come On Baby, Light My Fire

Since 1952, La Chimenea has been serving up music with some of the finest meat and seafood in Santiago without the bells and whistles of many of today's trendy food joints. This no-frills bar-restaurant does a lot of things really well at a reasonable price, and without sacrificing quality or service.

Located on the second floor above a game room, La Chimenea is home to nightly performances from rock to cumbia to jazz. In addition to an extensive wine and liquor list, La Chimenea also features quite the Santiago rarity: a cigar menu.

La Chimenea is incredibly popular –not only on the weekends –so if you want a great seat for the music, get there a bit early to enjoy the house specialty, ceviche. Should you feel the summer heat, go for a pint of beer or glass of sparkling wine with a plate of freshly chilled Chilean oysters.

Whether you crave a savory piece of Chile’s acclaimed Congrio fish or prefer to share una tabla (variety of finger foods of cheese, meat or fish served on a wooden plate) with your friends, La Chimenea has what your stomach wants.
