Local Chilean artists will perform in honor of President Allende's contributions to the artistic environment in Chile. Musicians from Colombia, Spain and Argentina will also come to pay tribute to the man who developed a visionary world for many South American artists. Although he was an important political figure as well, the festival will focus and reflect on Allende's contributions to cultural practices.
Headlining musical acts will include Sol y Lluvia, Chancho en Piedra, Juanes, Miguel Bosé, Anita Tijoux, Inti Illimani Histórico, Joaquín Sabina, Lucybell and Illapu.
Actors Sigrid Alegría, Francisco Reyes, Magdalena Swett and Felipe Brown have also been lined up to perform short pieces.
