The Revolver team marched alongside the Mapuche community with over a thousand members in attendance as the March For Mapuche Resistance ("Marcha Por La Resistencia Mapuche") took place this past Monday, October 10.
Starting from Plaza Italia, the March was a way for many to express support for the Mapuche political prisoners and the entire Mapuche community still fighting for the recovery of their collective rights from the government. The campaign also called for supporters to send letters to the Mapuche prisoners held in various prisons throughout southern Chile.
The March eventually ended with some trouble as some protestors grew violent, throwing rocks at local police, smashing windows and breaking down various streetlights and signs. The carabineros settled the riots by dispersing water tanks and tear gas at the culprits.
