Revolver was in attendance at the second Chile Jazz Festival for Peace ("Festival Chile Jazz por la Paz") which took place from May 26 to 29 under the slogan, "Music as a change factor" ("La música como factor de cambio").
According to the organizers, the Chile Jazz Festival for Peace had two main objectives: to bring jazz to new or unusual places; and to open up a new space in which international artists can take up residencies and thereby interact in a more profound and concrete manner with Chilean musicians and students.
The images show the performances at the Cultural Center of San Antonio and the House of Pablo Neruda in Isla Negra, with the presentation of Lihi Haruvi a highlight in both occasions. Lihi is a 27 year old saxophonist from Israel with a remarkable ability to improvise and is currently residing in New York, where she is a Jazz Improvisation teacher at the Lincoln Center.
