  • Paris de Nuit: Hungary's original contemporary circus company makes their premier international debut with this expressionist Moulin Rouge performance, and now through Sunday is your chance to catch them (perhaps literally?) as they swing from scarves and trapeze from the rafters of the appropriately art deco Estacion Mapocho. A smokey sexy vibe transports audience members to Paris of the 1930's. It'll be a jaw-dropping evening to remember. ^top

  • Pinochet, la obra censurada en dictadura: An acerbic yet comedic reconstruction of a 1986 play, this work features four actors in roles of various influence during the Pinochet era, considering contemporary questions of power and the future of Chile. As full of uncertainty as it is dark humor and satire, this play offers the opportunity to spend time considering a fresh and deep perspective on the ways in which the country has and has not changed in the last 30 years. ^top

  • Del otro lado de la noche: If hungry for the kind of thought-provoking and innovative works that can be found in art houses and small theatres of Brooklyn or Berlin, for example, choreographer Carolina Bravo's new work is a good bet for satiation. The movement is feminine and fierce and a little neurotic, starkly lit and barely costumed, resulting in exquisitely performed and very intriguing original work that stands on its own two feet. ^top

  • Los Hombres Tristes: This contemporary work reflects on the roles of men as lovers, fathers, sons, and breadwinners in a patriarchal society. Four friends share anecdotes and memories in an entertaining discourse on the expression of love. ^top

  • Función Muros (o la socialización amorosa): 3 women and a man, all aged young to old, come together to understand the very ways in which love happens - or loving socialization.^top
